1. Scope and who we are
ADO Mobility (ADO, we, us or our) provides technology-enabled local mobility services in the Itanagar Capital Region and surrounding service areas. This Policy applies to website visitors, riders, driver partners, prospective partners, business customers and people who communicate with us.
Supplementary notices may apply to a particular product, promotion, business account or partner programme. Those notices apply alongside this Policy.
2. Information we collect
- Account and contact information, including name, mobile number, email address, profile details and communication preferences.
- Ride information, including pickup and destination, requested time, route, trip history, fare, payment status, ratings, feedback and support requests.
- Location information, including precise or approximate device location where permission is provided, and pickup, destination, route and service-area data needed to arrange, operate and secure a ride.
- Partner information, including identity, contact, licence, vehicle, insurance, tax, banking and verification information needed to assess, onboard, pay and support partners.
- Device and usage information, including IP address, browser or device type, operating system, app or website interactions, cookies, diagnostic logs and approximate location inferred from IP address.
- Information from third parties such as payment, verification, insurance and business partners, referral sources, public sources and authorities, where permitted by law.
Please do not provide sensitive information that is not needed for a ride, support request or partner onboarding.
3. Partner locations and customer visibility
ADO collects and processes partner location information to operate the marketplace and make rides possible. This includes a partner’s real-time or recent location, availability status, service area and, where relevant, their associated vehicle.
We may show a partner’s approximate live location, proximity, estimated arrival time, availability, vehicle details and limited profile information online or in the ADO rider experience. This lets customers see available options and allows eligible partners to receive, evaluate and accept ride requests. We also use this information for dispatch, routing, fare calculations, safety assistance, fraud prevention, service improvement, dispute resolution and legal compliance.
Visibility is limited by operational need, time, accuracy and access controls. Location can be unavailable or imprecise and is not a substitute for emergency services. Partners must not use the service to track a person outside a legitimate ADO service interaction.
4. How we use information
- Provide, personalise and improve booking, matching, dispatch, payment, support and partner services.
- Verify identity and eligibility; maintain safety, quality and trust; investigate incidents, fraud, misuse and claims.
- Send ride receipts, authentication codes, service updates, safety notices, support responses and, where permitted, marketing communications.
- Analyse demand, coverage, usage and performance; develop features and conduct research using aggregated or de-identified information where feasible.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements and protect the rights, property and safety of ADO, users, partners and the public.
5. Legal grounds and your choices
Where applicable law requires a legal ground, we process information to perform our contract with you, meet legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable mobility service, or with your consent. You can withdraw optional consent, including certain device permissions, in your device settings. Disabling necessary permissions may limit service functionality.
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy of your information, withdrawal of consent or objection to certain processing. We may verify your identity and retain information where legally required or permitted. Marketing messages include opt-out instructions; essential service and security messages may still be sent.
6. How we share information
- Riders and driver partners, to complete a requested ride or address related support and safety matters.
- Service providers that host, secure, analyse, communicate, verify identities, process payments or provide support, under appropriate contractual safeguards.
- Authorised business-account administrators for rides arranged through a business account.
- Authorities, insurers, advisers and other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate claims or protect rights and safety.
- A successor or affiliate in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring or sale, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for money or let third parties use it for their independent marketing without an appropriate choice or lawful basis.
7. Cookies, retention and security
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate our website, remember preferences, understand usage and measure communications. You can control cookies through your browser; essential cookies may remain necessary. We retain information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including services, records, disputes, tax, accounting, safety, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards. No system is completely secure; protect your device and verification codes, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
8. Children, transfers, changes and contact
Our services are not directed to children who cannot lawfully use them. We may process information in India and other locations where our providers operate, using appropriate safeguards where required. We may update this Policy as services or legal requirements change and will post the revised version here.
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact ADO Mobility through the support channel available on our website or in the relevant ADO service.
